Leaks, missing or lifted shingles, cracked tiles, worn flashing, and storm damage are the most common roof repair calls we get from Orlando homeowners. We find the source, show you photos of what we found, and fix it, or tell you honestly when a repair no longer makes sense. On a Hunter's Creek home, a recurring leak above the entry turned out to be a valley problem, not a shingle problem. After a storm we can also tarp an open roof to stop water until the permanent repair is done.
Florida's 25% rule matters on larger repairs. If more than 25% of a roof section is repaired or replaced within 12 months, the Florida Building Code can require that whole section to be brought up to current code. Roofs built to the 2007 code or later are exempt: only the repaired portion has to meet current code. We check which rule applies before quoting. See our roof repair and inspection services.
When a roof is past its useful life, we tear it off, repair decking where needed, and install a new system with fresh underlayment, flashing, and ventilation. Recent Orlando roof replacements include a College Park ranch with upgraded underlayment under heavy oak cover, a Conway home where improved ridge ventilation brings attic temperatures down, a Lake Nona roof with three front gables, and a two-story replacement in Avalon Park with every skylight re-flashed.
Every Orlando reroof needs a permit, and which office issues it depends on the address. Homes inside city limits, such as Baldwin Park, College Park, and Lake Nona, are permitted through the City of Orlando. Many homes with an Orlando mailing address, including Pine Hills, Dr. Phillips, Hunter's Creek, and Avalon Park, are in unincorporated Orange County and are permitted through the county. We pull the right permit and schedule the inspections. Learn more about roof replacement and roof financing.
Under Florida law, an insurer can't refuse to write or renew a policy only because a roof is less than 15 years old. Older roofs can be asked for an inspection, and a roof with at least five years of useful life left can't be turned down on age alone. A new roof resets that clock, and a wind mitigation inspection afterward documents roof deck attachment, roof-to-wall connections, and secondary water barriers that can qualify for premium discounts. Ask us about the state's My Safe Florida Home program, which offers free hardening inspections and grants when funding is open.
We install and repair architectural shingle roofs, tile roofs, metal roofs, and flat roofs throughout Orlando, and we're a CertainTeed-credentialed roofer. We also handle commercial roofing in Orlando.
After a storm or hurricane, we inspect the roof, photograph every damaged area, and give you a written report and a focused repair scope. See a recent storm damage roof repair in Orlando, and an Anthony Lane roof in Rio Pinar where a fallen tree limb hit a roof too old to repair.
Browse our roofing projects across Orlando: a black shingle roof in Baldwin Park, a roof replacement in Dr. Phillips, a new gray roof on Gatlin Place Circle in Conway, and a neighbor-referred roof replacement in Pine Hills. In East Orlando, we replaced a roof that was leaking from a failing pool solar system and completed a full roof system replacement on Oak Chase Drive with no-money-down financing.
“The heat was brutal . heat advisory almost every day Here in Orlando. But the guys kept working with lots of breaks.” — Shawn R., metal standing seam roof, Google review

Thinking about solar in Orlando? We check your roof's condition first, then plan roof and solar work together so your Enphase-based system sits on a roof that's ready for the long term. If your roof is near the end of its life, replacing it before solar saves you from paying to remove and reset panels later. Learn more about solar installation and solar panel cleaning.
Before & After
Drag the slider on each photo to compare before and after. These are real JTO Roofing & Solar projects in Orlando neighborhoods, from Conway and Pine Hills to Dr. Phillips and East Orlando, followed by more recent Orlando roof replacements.
These Conway homeowners researched Orlando roofers, found JTO, and wanted one thing: a quality roof done right. We replaced the weathered brown shingles with a clean gray architectural roof that changed the look of the whole home from the street.
Read the full project storyA leaking pool solar system was letting water into this East Orlando home and causing serious interior damage, and a valley other contractors had tried to fix was still leaking. On an older roof, another patch wasn't the answer, so we removed the worn-out pool solar unit and installed a complete new JTO roof.
Read the full project storyThis homeowner came to us on the recommendation of a neighbor who was already a JTO customer. He knew his algae-streaked roof was at the end of its life, so we replaced the whole roof with new dark architectural shingles.
Read the full project storyAfter a storm brought a tree limb down onto this roof, the homeowners called JTO. Our inspection showed the roof was too old to repair reliably, so we replaced it with new architectural shingles and a continuous ridge vent.
Read the full project storyA local general contractor referred his family to JTO. We walked them through their repair options, and when they asked about replacing the whole roof, our no-money-down financing made the decision easy. We replaced the entire roofing system and brought it up to current building code.
Read the full project storyThis Dr. Phillips home had a heavily algae-streaked shingle roof that was aging well past its prime under the Central Florida sun. JTO tore it off and installed a clean architectural shingle system that now matches the home's stucco and arched entry.
Read the full project storyA painted-brick ranch in College Park traded a tired roof for a deep charcoal architectural shingle that plays off the home's dark window trim. The oaks overhead drop debris year-round, so the new system included upgraded underlayment and fresh flashing throughout.
Read the full project storyThe homeowner wanted a true black roof to contrast the light brick and paver walkways on this Baldwin Park home. The finished architectural shingle roof delivers that crisp dark line while offering better wind resistance than the roof it replaced.
Read the full project storyA wide brick ranch in Lake Nona with three front-facing gables meant a lot of ridge, hip, and valley detail to get right. The finished charcoal roof lines up cleanly across all three peaks and drains into refreshed gutters at both ends.
Read the full project storyThe twin front gables on this Hunter's Creek home give it character but also create two valleys that had been collecting debris and holding moisture. A new shingle roof and reworked valley detail put an end to the recurring leak above the entry.
Read the full project storyThis Conway property sits on an open lot with almost no shade, so the previous roof took the full brunt of the Florida sun year-round. The replacement pairs a heat-tolerant architectural shingle with improved ridge ventilation to bring attic temperatures down.
Read the full project storyTwo-story roofs on tight Avalon Park lots leave almost no room for staging, so this replacement was sequenced one slope at a time to protect the landscaping and the neighbors' driveways. The finished shingle roof ties in cleanly around the skylights and the second-story dormer.

Most Orlando roof replacements fall within a range based on roof size, pitch, material (shingle, tile, or metal), and any decking repairs. JTO Roofing & Solar provides a free, itemized estimate and financing options as low as about $95/month so you know your numbers before any work begins.
It depends on the roof's age, how widespread the damage is, and whether leaks have reached the decking. Isolated damage on a younger roof is usually a repair. Widespread granule loss, repeated leaks, or soft decking usually point to replacement. We inspect first and give you both options when both make sense.
Schedule a roof inspection as soon as it's safe. We perform documented storm-damage inspections for Orlando homes, with photos and a written report of what we find, followed by a focused repair plan.
It depends on what failed and how much of the roof is affected. A lifted shingle or a worn pipe boot costs far less than a leaking valley or rotted decking, and tile repairs depend on matching the existing tile. We inspect first, show you photos, and give you a written price before any repair starts. Inspections and estimates are free.
The work on the roof is usually short: a typical shingle replacement on an Orlando home takes one to a few days, while tile and metal roofs take longer. Permitting with the City of Orlando or Orange County, material delivery, and weather add time before and during the job, and we give you a schedule up front.
